Our story

Who we are

AL-FAJR FOUNDATION has served through several departments for many years: two seminaries, a school system, mosque development, a welfare centre and a media department.

Most of our students come from distant areas, and from families who could not otherwise afford to educate them. For them, boarding, meals and medical care are arranged alongside their studies.

All of it is met through the generosity of supporters — there is no other source of funding.

AL-FAJR FOUNDATION

Documented graduating classes from 2013 onwards.

Mission & vision

What we are working towards

To give children from families who cannot afford it a religious and formal education — and to carry the cost of their board, meals and medical care while they study.

Our vision

A community where knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah, sound character and practical welfare reach every household that needs them.

Accountability

How we handle what you give

Given for a purpose, used for that purpose

A donation given for a stated purpose is applied to that purpose. Where an appeal is already fully funded, we apply it to the department in greatest need and say so.

Verify before you transfer

Always check account details against those published here, or confirm them with us by telephone. We will never ask you to send money to a personal account.

Figures we can stand behind

Student numbers and costs published on this site are the ones we work to. They are approximate, updated periodically, and never inflated for effect.

Rs 6,500 a month teaches, feeds and houses one child

Sponsor a student, contribute to the water sabeel, or support a mosque. Every rupee is a trust.
